Idaho Rural Council

Idaho Rural Council, a grassroots membership-based organization with 990 members, works with Idaho's family farm and rural communities to achieve "good stewardship of humanity, land, air and water." IRC has worked on renewable energy, water quality and quantity issues from industrial-scale factory farms (CAFO), and resulting pollution threats to Idaho's air and water. IRC is a member organization of the Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC).

Idaho Rural Council became a Brainerd Foundation grantee in 2008.
