Grantee Profile: Alaska Center for the Environment
ACE is Alaska's largest home-grown citizen's group working for the sensible stewardship of Alaska's natural environment. Founded in 1971, it has 7,000 dues-paying members and focuses its efforts largely on the south-central region of the state. It seeks to enhance Alaska's quality of life by protecting wild places, fostering sustainable communities, and promoting recreational opportunities.
