Grantee Profile: Mt. Adams Resource Stewards

Mt. Adams Resource Stewards, established in 2003, represents a grassroots effort to address issues dealing with the sustainability of rural communities in what we know as "Mt. Adams Country." It's mission is to promote sustainable connections between the land, local economies and rural communities in the Mt. Adams Region.

Recent Grant History:

2008 - $3,000 To take key Mt. Adams community members on a tour of community-held and managed private forest lands in New England that balance conservation and sustainability values with responsible economic uses. The tour will provide models for successful community-based private ownership and stewardship of working forest lands in the Mt. Adams region. Opportunity Fund
