The Center for American Progress is an independent nonpartisan policy institute dedicated to improving the lives of all American, through bold, progressive ideas; strong leadership; and concerted action. Founded in 2003, it has a staff of over 300 people who develop new policy ideas, challenge the media to cover the issues, and shape the national debate.
