The mission of the Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) is to support visionary, action-oriented, and diverse leadership for a just and sustainable future. It aims to catalyze change by providing emerging leaders with the support and guidance needed to launch fresh ideas, achieve new successes, and rise to new leadership positions. Since 2000, seven hundred environmental and social change leaders from across the country have graduated from its program, creating a large and active alumni cohort. In 2014, it launched its fourth regional network, this time in the Pacific Northwest.
Environmental Leadership Program was a Brainerd Foundation grantee from 2015 to 2016.
